How to find Creag Ard Charters

Camusnagaul, Dundonnell is in Wester Ross on the west coast of Scotland. If traveling from England or elsewhere in Scotland you can will normally drive up to Inverness and then travel west towards Ullapool. To come to Camusnagaul you turn off at the Braemore Junction towards Dundonnell.

Camusnagaul is very easy to find, being 1.5 miles past the Dundonnell Hotel on the A832. Maggie's Tea Room and Craft Shop is well sign posted and the accommodation is all within a few hundred meters of the Tea room and craftshop.

If traveling from Inverness or Ullapool take the A835 road to Braemore Junction then turn off onto the A832 to Dundonnell. Camusnagaul is just less than 2 miles from the start of Little Loch Broom at Dundonnell. Traveling by car it will take about 40 minutes from Ullapool and around 1.5-2 hrs from Inverness.

Travel Directions

Traveling in the Scottish Highlands is slightly different from the areas south of the border and on a motorway. We have sheep that graze next to the main roads and they will often cross in front of you, so please slow down when passing sheep. Another hazard is deer, especially at night when they often run out of cover (trees and bushes) over the road.

Another human hazard when driving in our roads is that people often get frustrated at driving slowly behind tourists and caravans, so please help keep our roads safe by pulling into parking areas and allowing traffic to overtake. We want you to enjoy your visit to our lovely country - please drive safely and take plenty of breaks.
